Lettering in DECA is a great way to demonstrate interest and dedication to the club. The requirements for lettering as they currently stand are as follows:

In order to letter, you must meet the following requirements.
- Paid
- 225 points
- District Competitor
Points can be earned in the following ways. Additional points may be given at the discretion of the officer team and advisors.
- Attend a meeting: 5
- Wear shirt to a meeting: 5
- Refer a friend to DECA: 5
  - MAX two members
- Refer a Professional/Alumni Member: 20
- Attend a DECA event: 5 points per hour
- Districts
  - Compete: 20
  - Advance to State: 10
- State
  - Compete: 30
  - State Finalist but didn’t advance: 10
  - Advance to ICDC: 20
- International
  - Compete: 50
  - Place: 50
- Online Events
  - Compete: 15
    - NOT per event, total
  - Southern Region: 30
  - International: 50
- Entering a Texas pin design for International: 10
- Refer a sponsor: 20
- Community Service
  - Points per hour: 10 (MAX 20)
  - Points per donation: 5 (MAX 10)
- Run for Office
  - Chapter: 15
  - Districts: 25
  - State: 35
  - International: 50
- Holding an Officer Position
  - Chapter: 20
  - Districts: 30
  - State: 40
  - International: 55
- Apply for DECA Scholarship: 10
- Additional points may be given at the discretion of officers/advisors.
